Welcome to AceEd Tutoring. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully before using our tutoring services.
1. Our Services
AceEd Tutoring provides online and in-person tutoring services for Grade 10–12 students in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting, Economics, and other CAPS-aligned subjects.
Our services are designed to provide academic support, improve understanding, and assist students with their learning goals.
2. Registration & Accounts
- Students must provide accurate and complete information when registering for AceEd Tutoring services.
- You are responsible for ensuring that your account information remains accurate and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details.
- AceEd Tutoring reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms and Conditions or misuse our services.
3. Payments & Fees
- All payments are processed securely through PayFast.
- All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).
- Payment must be received before tutoring services are provided unless otherwise agreed upon by AceEd Tutoring.
- Any applicable payment gateway fees may be passed on to the client.
- AceEd Tutoring reserves the right to update pricing and service fees when necessary. Any price changes will be communicated before affecting existing bookings or subscriptions.
4. Refund & Cancellation Policy
AceEd Tutoring has a structured cancellation and refund policy to ensure fairness to both students and tutors.
Cancellation Policy
- 24+ hours notice: A tutoring session may be rescheduled at no additional cost, subject to tutor availability.
- Less than 24 hours notice: The session cannot be rescheduled and no refund or credit will be provided.
- No-show: If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, the session will be considered completed and no refund or reschedule will be provided.
Refund Policy
- Refunds are not provided for completed tutoring sessions.
- If a student is dissatisfied with a session, AceEd Tutoring will offer a free replacement session with another available tutor as a resolution.
- Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. If a subscription is cancelled during the month, unused sessions will not be refunded or carried over.
- Exceptions may apply where services cannot be delivered due to circumstances within AceEd Tutoring’s control.
5. Privacy & Data Protection
- AceEd Tutoring collects personal information necessary to provide tutoring services, manage accounts, communicate with students and parents/guardians, and improve our services.
- Personal information may include names, contact details, academic information, and communication records related to tutoring services.
- Your information is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law or necessary to provide the requested services.
- AceEd Tutoring complies with applicable data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
6. Limitation of Liability
- AceEd Tutoring provides academic support and guidance but does not guarantee specific academic results, grades, or examination outcomes.
- Student progress depends on various factors, including attendance, participation, effort, and personal commitment.
- AceEd Tutoring is not responsible for losses or damages resulting from the use of our services, except where required by applicable law.
- AceEd Tutoring reserves the right to refuse service or discontinue services where necessary.
7. Tutor Services & Student Responsibilities
- Tutors provide educational guidance, explanations, and learning support.
- Students are responsible for attending scheduled sessions, completing assigned work, participating actively, and applying the guidance provided by tutors.
- AceEd Tutoring cannot guarantee academic improvement where students do not actively participate in the learning process.
8. Parent/Guardian Consent
- For students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before the student uses AceEd Tutoring services.
- The parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring that registration information provided is accurate and up to date.
9. Online Sessions & Communication
- Online tutoring sessions may require access to appropriate devices, internet connection, and communication platforms.
- Students and parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary equipment and connectivity to participate in online sessions.
- Communication may take place through email, WhatsApp, or other approved platforms.
10. Intellectual Property
- All AceEd Tutoring materials, resources, notes, worksheets, and learning content provided during tutoring sessions remain the intellectual property of AceEd Tutoring unless otherwise stated.
- Materials may only be used for personal educational purposes and may not be redistributed, sold, or shared without permission.
11. Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
- Any disputes arising from these terms will be handled according to applicable South African laws and regulations.

13. Scholarship & Commitment Policy
AceEd Tutoring offers free tutoring spots to students through our School Partnership Program.
Scholarship Terms
- One free tutoring spot is available in each group of 5 students.
- The partner school selects the student who receives the free spot.
- The scholarship covers one full term (3 months) of tutoring.
- Students receiving free tutoring must sign a Scholarship Agreement.
Student Commitment ("Pay It Forward")
- Students who receive free tutoring agree to "pay it forward" by helping others.
- Commitments may include:
- Peer Tutoring: Helping younger students (Grade 8–9) with their studies.
- Social Media Ambassador: Sharing their experience on social media.
- Referrals: Referring at least 2 students to AceEd Tutoring.
- Testimonials: Providing a written or video testimonial.
- Failure to meet these commitments may result in the scholarship being withdrawn.
Mentorship Program
- Students who complete the program may apply to become mentors.
- Mentors support first-year students in the program.
- Third-year and final-year students mentor first-year participants.
